“The Maze Runner” begins when Thomas is dropped off systematically in a community of young boys after having all of his memories erased. Thomas soon learns that he, like everybody else, is imprisoned in the Glade, a maze with complex corridors and walls that open and shut in the dystopian environment he must now escape from with other “runners.”
Starring Dylan O’Brien as Thomas, “The Maze Runner” cast is unadorned by easily recognizable name actors, a purpose that was deliberate on the part of director Wes Ball who wanted the fast pacing of the storyline adapted from the book by James Dashner and impressive cinematography by Enrique Chediak to stand out on their own. Aml Ameen as the first boy brought into the Glade, and Will Poulter as yet another Glade resident, complete the main cast of this film which you can watch on putlocker.
O’Brien carries this movie all throughout it poignant end. Bravery and responsibility is all over “The Maze Runner” but there’s nothing preachy about these. In fact, faith and compassion are also the messages which this movie sends out to the audience but the thrill and excitement leave no room for any dull moments that these virtues typically come with in movies.
