Oren Little is obnoxiously willful with only desire: to sell a house one last time so he can retire peace and he was about to have it until his about-to-go-to-prison son brings a nine-year-old girl and introduces her as Oren’s granddaughter Sarah. Oren’s neighbor Leah takes in Sarah, because he wouldn’t, who interrupts Oren’s life upside down, as he learns all about opening his heart not only Leah but to his granddaughter and life itself.
Starring Michael Douglas as Oren, Diane Keaton as the de facto granny Leah, and Sterling Jenis as Sarah, this family movie is directed by veteran family movie specialist Rob Reiner. The bonus? It’s not everyday you see Gordon Gekko and Annie Hall together in one of the current free online movies.
Douglas is likeable even when playing a curmudgeon and how can anybody not love Keaten, the epitome of sunshine-y disposition? Catch “And So It Goes” on Movie2k this summer and remember how Douglas was the hunk in “The Streets of San Francisco” and why Keaton remains so charming long after she gave up those neckties and vests.
